Associate Programme

The Ayaan Institute will be running a 12 month career and leadership development programme. The cost of such a programme would normally run into thousands of pounds, however the Institute will be offering it free of charge to select individuals.

The key features of the programme are;

1. Mentoring – Provided by Ayaan Institute’s Research Directors and other leading academics, thinkers and leaders within our network. This will be primarily delivered across 4 sessions within a 12 month period.

2. Learning & Development – Exclusive internal seminars and workshops with leading sector experts including scholars, thinkers and leaders across media, charity, advocacy, business and politics.

3. Leadership & Career Development – As part of the first two points, the Ayaan Institute will formulate a personal development plan and use its extensive national and international network to provide appropriate opportunities for progression.

4. Work & Voluntary Experience – This will include;

• First chance to apply to any new job vacancies within the Institute
• Paid placements/opportunities within our extensive network across media, charity and advocacy;
• Voluntary placements within our network;

This can count towards Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

5. Paid Assignments – Based on your progression on the programme, the Institute will pay Associates to write essays that focus on any of our research themes. These will be published on the Institute’s website and across our social media platforms and published on other media platforms.

Select Associates will also be commissioned to undertake paid mini-research projects.

6. Reference – Provided upon successful completion of 12 months. Associates to be formally recognised on our website and other official media platforms after 3 months of programme.
