After our successful first Ayaan Institute Research Associate Programme, in which more than 20 Associates received training, we are now continuing with a new programme.
The Ayaan Institute offers an exciting opportunity to participate as an unpaid research associate in 2024 to enhance your learning and skills. The year-long (with a time commitment of 2 days per month) programme will allow you to develop a range of think tank skills, from research, to analytical thinking, and impactful writing, with an opportunity to get involved in several ongoing and future research projects.
As part of the programme, you will receive one-on-one mentoring from our expert team of mentors in the project area you will be participating in. The mentoring will also provide career development support. There may also be volunteering or paid work opportunities with many of our partners.
You will be given an opportunity to have your work published as part of the Ayaan Institute on our website. (You will be paid for any articles that we publish) You will be mentored on the various stages of building an impactful article.
Ayaan’s current areas of research in which you should have some interest are:
- Economics and trade in the Muslim world
- The Global Muslim refugee/migration crisis
- Muslim Minority Communities especially in the UK but elsewhere
The programme will run for one year. The candidates will work remotely with a time commitment of roughly 2 days per month. This will include time with one of our expert mentors and an opportunity to participate in some of our development sessions.
Applicants are expected to be educated to graduate level or have a skill useful to Ayaan as a think tank.
If you are interested in applying, please complete the form and submit it with your CV.
Please note, given the large number of applicants we received in the previous programme, you will only be contacted if you have been shortlisted for an interview
