The Non-Proliferation Treaty

The Non-Proliferation Treaty

In 1981 Israel bombed Iraq’s nuclear energy facilities. Later after the first Gulf War, Iraq agreed to UN inspections of its embryonic nuclear facilitates. During the second Gulf War the UN inspectors played a dual game, not saying outright that Iraq had no “weapons of mass destruction” but not ruling them out. Giving the West enough to intervene. Result Iraq no longer has a proper military let alone weapons of mass destruction, it barely exists as a state.

Iran as part of its deal with the West and lifting of sanctions had already signed the Nuclear non -proliferation Treaty and allowed in UN inspectors. Whilst Israel has not. Iran’s nuclear weapons /scientists have started to be killed. Don’t be surprised if the next step is an attack on those facilities.

Pakistan has always refused to sign the NPT as India has refused to. No Muslim country should sign it as long as Israel does not acknowledge its nuclear weapons, and allow its facilities to be inspected. Ditto Muslim countries re-India.
