Fatih is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Colorado State University. He also holds MS and MA degrees from Texas A&M University and Colorado State University. His research areas include macroeconomics, institutional economics, and political economy. More particularly, Fatih concentrates on corruption and its impacts on macroeconomic variables in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). He has been teaching his classes as a Graduate Teaching Instructor since summer 2020. He is expected to graduate in Spring 2022.

Besides being in academic life, Fatih has been involved in community service for several years. He has volunteered for the Zakat Foundation of America for a couple of years, volunteering for over 100+ hours. Fatih received an award of The Volunteer of the Year in 2017 at Colorado State University in the branch of community service. Fatih believes that the harmony of academic knowledge and community service serves societies more effectively.
