Francesca is a final year master’s degree student, attending the MA programme in Near and Middle Eastern Studies at SOAS University of London. Her research is focused on Human Rights and Islamic Law, with a growing expertise on migration issues. She will join the Ayaan Institute as research intern for our “Global Muslim Refugee Crisis” programme, specialising her analysis on EU countries.
Francesca completed her bachelor’s degree in Languages and Cultural Mediation at Università degli Studi di Palermo (Italy), graduating with honours – summa cum laude. She further strengthened her competence in the MENA region by spending one year in Tunis (Tunisia), attending the Institut Bourguiba des Langues Vivantes at Al-Manar University of Tunis.
