PRESS RELEASE: Ayaan Institute launches unique Associate Programme

The London-based think tank, Ayaan Institute, has launched a unique Research Associate Programme in the last week. The Associate Programme was developed specifically for Ayaan over the last 3 months. It is tailored to meet the needs of the think tank and Muslim Community for critical analysts and thought leaders of the future. The 12-month programme was launched last week with a thought-provoking session on Personal Development carried out by Director and Founder Jahangir Mohammed on self-analysis, self-appraisal and achieving personal goals.  A series of further Development Sessions and activities will help the candidates build their skills and potential.

After a selection process, 24 of the best performing candidates (mostly females) were carefully selected to enrol on to the programme. The Ayaan Institute, which was launched In January 2020, is dedicated to creating a more unified Muslim world that is independent, prosperous, and strong. They believe this requires building a new consciousness among people and bringing on board new people.

Jahangir Mohammed, Director of the Institute said “Ayaan is a future-orientated think tank. We want to train a new generation of positive and creative thinkers and policymakers not restricted by the ideological straight-jackets or groupism of the past”. “We must dream of the world as we want it to be, but we must analyse it as it currently is. To work towards our goals requires we produce new thinkers schooled in the new consciousness and skills required. The Associate programme is a small step toward that. We hope to train around 100 young people in the next 5 years”

Earlier this year the Ayaan Institute employed 7 Research Interns to work on research on several key areas. The research papers will be published next year.

The first year of Ayaan Institute has been dedicated to consolidating the think tank and charting its future direction, with much more to come in future years, God willing.
